Thing Nineteen: Pink Elephant
I visited a new quilt shop a few weeks ago, and Charlotte fell in love with some sample elephants on display. So we bought the pattern, and this is my first attempt. I fully expect the eyes to unravel any second now, because I am a total loser at french knots. This was a fun way to use one of the miscellaneous fat quarters I bought when I found out I was having a girl -- back when I thought I'd get a baby quilt done before she arrived. Silly me! Also, when I cut the pieces for this elephant, I cut out another one at the same time. There were four on display at the store, and they just looked so cute as a herd! I may not get that far, but at least this little baby will have a friend.
